We Are the Light of the World

To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.–Luke 1:79

Brethren…We are the light of the world. There is no way that a city that is set on a hill can be hidden and not taken notice of. In the same manner when the world sees a genuine blood-bought, true blue, child of the Most High God they recognize that our conversation is different. They recognize that our lifestyle is different. They even recognize that our clothing and the way we look is different. All because of the supernatural change that took place in our hearts when we decided to put Jesus Christ first and every thing else to the back burner.

Want to know who is keeping the anti-christ from showing his wicked head? The Church (according to 2 Thessalonians 2:7). Want to know who is above all principalities and powers? Jesus Christ AND The Church (because we are in Him). Want to know who the light of this world is? The Church. We don’t invite people to argue or to give them some good philosophy, we aim for the salvation of the SOUL of man. Sometimes this creates a scene but that is ok because we don’t mind putting on a show to demonstrate the power of God to save from sin, deliver from any disease, or to rescue any one from any problem. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever!!!

Today I went soul winning in the ghetto and met a fellow named Frankie. This man was walking a long way before I finally decided to give him an invite. Maybe two minutes after I invited this man out to the House of God (Christians still give invitations to Church even though that isn’t popular) a white towncar pulled up with what looked like some gangsters on the inside. This man told me that he was on his way to a football game. Whether he made it out there or not I don’t know. This one thing I do know. He was confronted by a son of God. The appointment that God had for that man to have another chance at getting right was presented and now it is up to him.

You see I love my job. I get to invite people to a relationship with Almighty God and I get to witness enemies finally become friends of Jehovah by faith in the same.

Nothing that the Christian does, in the Lord, is in vain. Whether it is inviting someone out to church, telling someone about Jesus, or healing someone of their disease. These things are just part of bringing the Kingdom of Almighty God down to mankind so that they can have a little bit of Heaven to go to Heaven in.

When someone gets filled with the Holy Ghost they have the down payment of the better things to come in the excellent glory! I love seeing people get filled with the Holy Ghost. As a matter of fact…I am going to go right now to see who I can find to get full of this “fresh oil”. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your Spirit abounding unto every good work! Hallelujah!
