The two words I would use to describe this book are: transparent and readable.
The Author’s Humility
First of all, the author comes off as a very humble man mentioning over and over again about how he is not perfect and neither is the church that he pastors. i really liked the part where he emphasized the grace of God in relation to how he was able to build a healthy church.
Healthy Churches Grow
The author also brings out the point that it’s the healthy churches that grow. He really emphasizes the health approach rather than focusing one’s energy solely on the growth techniques. Which makes perfect sense. I was thinking about the plant concept while reading this work. How that all one has to do to keep a plant growing……IS ENSURE IT”S HEALTHY!!!
He was very candid about his moral failure earlier in his ministry which elevated him in my eyes as a man who is letting us know that he needs God’s grace just like the next man/woman.
Robert Morris also talks about the government of his church and the culture of generosity, rest (this was AMAZING), worship, and other subjects that will shift the paradigms of many and launch the 21st Century into the future….BLESSED!!!
