There is definitely a difference between listening to something and understanding something. Sometimes when we voice our thoughts, our thoughts land on brains that do not understand and sometimes this causes strife and debate.
When one of my friends shared the meaning behind “magnifying the Lord” it was so simple and yet so profound. He said to magnify the Lord means to make Him bigger. Making him bigger than He already is in our own personal lives takes work. Nevertheless, this is achievable.
For now, we are in the river of time going toward a destiny that we have a choice in. Isn’t that exciting? So as we continue on our journey I just want to encourage you, if you are afraid of going where you have never been before remember…God is already there. That’s what faith is for. So that when you are afraid you can reach up and out in faith and if you fall at least you can say that you were not afraid. Don’t let that fall make you think, “oh, well…MUST NOT HAVE BEEN THE WILL OF GOD!” That is wrong and unbiblical thinking. The pilgrims that were part of the founding of America faced multiple hardships but they never gave up because:
THEY BELIEVED IN WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND WERE DETERMINED TO GET IT DONE!
So we should be. I don’t know what God has called everyone to do and I am not even going to pretend to try. But I know he hasn’t called you to be a coward. He has called you to magnify Him in whatever endeavor you undertake. So that your tomorrow can be better than your today. So that you can leave behind a legacy of faithfulness and courage…in the face of the unknown. God bless you!
