Your Hands On Mine

There are so many things in life that we do not know about.

We do not know what tomorrow may bring…

We do not know if who we have today will be with us tomorrow…

We do not know if WHAT we have will be with us tomorrow…

All we do know is one thing. Life is uncertain. However, there is One who we can always be certain about. That One is Jesus.

I am not talking about a fairy tale or someone you heard about in church, I am talking about a real living breathing person who has never failed anyone who has put their trust 100% in Him.

I was reminded of a child student who knows nothing about the piano. While learning the piano they try to play a difficult piece of music only to hear an off tune melody belching out in loud tones. In comes someone who is a master at playing the piano. The master tells the student:

PUT YOUR HANDS ON MINE.

The student without hesitation puts their hands on the hands of the master and while their hands are RELAXED on the master’s the master plays the sweetest music that ears have ever heard. All of this was possible because all the student did was place their hands on the master’s. They did not force the master to play certain keys. Because they did not know how to play the music like the master.

This is definitely a life lesson.

If we try to “play” life like we know what we are doing, it will never be as good as RESTING our hands on the hands of the Master. This will allow us to experience the sweetest music that we have ever heard. Our Brother knows how to play and all He wants us to do is stop trying and start trusting. One of the ways we can do that is simply place our hands on His. God bless every one of you!
