There is a notion out there that it is not okay to leave something that you no longer believe in. This refers to a group or any team one is joined to in order to create a significant movement among mankind.
One name that comes to mind when the term “turncoat” is mentioned is Benedict Arnold. However, there are several other names that come to MY mind when the term “turncoat” is mentioned. These names are the following:
Martin Luther King Jr. (who was named after Martin Luther)
…and many many more!
These men were not willing to go down with the sinking ships of false doctrine, segregation, injustice, and spiritual slavery. Instead, they were willing to give their life to a cause that was much greater than they were. Instead of following the likes of the status quo, they wanted to effect change not only in their lives but also in the world. Make no mistake:
THIS IS OUR GOD GIVEN MISSION!
Remember the words of our Lord when He said that if you follow the blind you will end up with the same destiny…in a ditch!
I encourage you to make 2016 superlatively different than 2015 with lives apparently changed because you were in it! Don’t be afraid to be a turncoat. Because if you are on the wrong side, it’s the will of God that you get on the right side! God bless everyone of you.
