I heard a saying some time ago that went sort of like this:
Ain’t nothing to it but to do it.
This is good advice to give someone who is having a challenging time starting something and needs a little kick in the butt to get something going.
However, when it comes to situations which are out of our control that is when it is time to let God do it.
Jesus does more for us in one nanosecond than we spend our whole lifetime trying to accomplish.
If we would just relax in His grace and sit on the throne that we have generously been given by the Father we would find that our problem that we thought was so huge magically becomes small.
This is the right perspective.
There is a reason things look small from the sky.
From the throne you gain the right perspective on how to live life.
There is a story of a famous king named Jehoshaphat and he was tasked with fighting 3 nations. He was outnumbered and out muscled. However, he still had hope in God. He sought counsel of the Lord and there was this voice that said these words:
“this battle is not yours….it’s the Lord’s”
Now it was up to him to believe that. And believe it he did. As a matter of fact, he believed it so much that instead of equipping his army with weapons, he put a choir out front to sing praises to God. And as they sung, the enemy was defeated. The enemy actually turned and fought themselves.
The Lord had won the battle. Because someone let Him fight it.
You want to win every battle you go through?
Give up! And let the Lord fight your battle.
May the Lord shine His face upon you and give you peace.
