The Best Is Yet To Come!

Some time ago I heard about a general who was in the midst of a very heated battle. Seemingly there was no way that he and his men were ever going to make it out of there alive.

However, listen to the heroic words of the general on that great and notable day:

“Men, we are surrounded by the enemy. On our left, on our right, in front, and in the back of us are men who want us dead. And to that I say, the victory is ours!”

If that wasn’t one of the greatest displays of confidence in the midst of war I don’t know what is.

The thing about that general was that he refused to be defeated in his mind. This is where true defeat lies. External victory is created from internal victory.

If you can believe in your heart that what you want will come to pass, there are countless stories of how, miraculously, it comes to pass. They didn’t know HOW it would be done. All they did know is that it WOULD be done.

The general and his men won that war that day because they believed that they would….go and do likewise!

Winners Quit and Quitters Win

Hello,

Today I wanted to let you guys know that quitters win and winners quit.

You have heard it said before: “Quitters never win and winners never quit”

But I say unto you:

“QUITTERS WIN AND WINNERS QUIT!”

Absolutely.

Now of course

I am not talking about quitting on the path of success.

I am not talking about quitting on your way to making a real big impact on society in a positive way.

I am not talking about any endeavor that you can utilize to better yourself…..I am not talking about quitting that.

I am talking about quitting those things that bring self-destruction to yourself and to your community.

Many people place a premium on following dead-end traditions. The term: ‘we have always done it this way’ is the motto that many subscribe to…..and many businesses and ministries fall and fall hard because of it.

So, in light of this, I encourage each and everyone of you to: quit what doesn’t work!

Don’t be afraid of quitting inefficiency.

Don’t be afraid of quitting ineffectiveness.

If you can follow someone that is effective.

If you can follow someone that is efficient.

Quit what you’re doing that isn’t effective or efficient.

Follow that person that is effective and is efficient. And a productive citizen in society.

I know it seems wrong to quit.

But when you are going nowhere, I advise you……quit that.

THE I AM OF ALL I AMs

I was recommended a book by my friend not too long ago. The book is entitled, “The Book of Mysteries”. It has tons of wisdom in it. I thought I would share that wisdom with you today.

IT WAS BY the second day that I realized that there would be no set time for the teacher’s coming. He came in the afternoon.

“Do you know the Name of God?” asked the teacher.

“I don’t know that I do.”

“It’s made up of four Hebrew letters, the yud, the heh, the vav, and the heh: YHVH. It’s the most sacred of names, so sacred some refuse to say it. And yet you say it all the time.”

“The sacred Name of God?” I replied. “How could I when I never knew it?”

“When you speak of yourself, you say the Name.”

“I don’t understand.”

“When you feel happy, you say, ‘I am happy.’ And when you’re not, you say ‘I am sad.’ When you tell others who you are, you say, ‘I am’ followed by your name. YHVH means ‘I Am.’ It’s the Name of the Eternal, the Name of God. His Name is I Am.”

“Then we all say His Name.”

“Yes. And you have always said it. It is woven into the fabric of existence that when you speak of yourself, you must say His Name.”

“Why is that?”

“It’s because your existence comes from His existence. He is the I Am of all existence . . . the I Am of all I ams. Your I am only exists because of His I Am. And as you exist from Him, so it is only from Him that you can find the reason and purpose of your existence. Therefore, when you say your name, you must always speak His Name. And you must always speak His Name first.”

“Because . . .”

“Because His existence is first and your existence flows forth from His. That’s the flow of existence. Therefore, you must put Him first and then let everything flow from that. Let everything begin with Him and flow forth from Him. That’s the secret of life. To not only live for Him, but to live your life from Him, to live from His living, to move from His moving, to act from His actions, to feel from His heart, to be from His being, and to become who you are from who He is . . . I am.”

The Mission: Today, learn the secret of living each moment from His life, doing from His doing, loving from His love, and being from His being.

According to the Law vs. According to the LIFE!

I am reminded of the woman who was caught in adultery. What Jesus did in front of the lifeless “law abiding” religious leaders was an unprecedented display of the wisdom of God in any situation.

Check this out:

There she is, brought in front of the Master Himself. The one whom the people wanted to make king is now questioned about what should be done to this woman who was caught in a heinous sin. They said, “MOSES SAID that this woman should be stoned to death…..but what do YOU SAY?”

And what does Jesus do?…

Writes on the ground!

They ask him one more time:

“MOSES SAID that this woman should be stoned to death…..but what do YOU SAY?”

Jesus gets up calmly and says, “you who are without sin…cast the first stone.”

The accusers leave.

Make no mistake: JESUS IS BAD TO THE BONE!!!

How in the world did He learn how to answer his critics? The secret is found in His reliance upon the Father. The relationship is what set him apart from every religious leader ever known. Notice how the common people heard him gladly. He wasn’t trying to prove a point. He was simply living from the God life that is inside of every believer.

This means that we believers can do the same things that Jesus did while He was on Earth.

AND EVEN GREATER!!!

He even tells us not to think about what we are saying when we are questioned from the authorities. He doesn’t want our answers coming from a well thought out, orchestrated, refined and carnal plan. He guarantees that it will be the Spirit of the Father that will speak through YOU!

So today I encourage you family, live according to the Spirit and let the life of God envelop every person who comes into contact with you. And never forget:

YOU HAVE GOD’S LAWS WRITTEN ON YOUR HEART.

The Ultimate Transformation

As I walked inside of my house from my walk through this beautiful Arizona day, I started thinking.

Scary.

I was thinking of a caterpillar and how necessary it is for it to have what is called a “cocoon season.” A cocoon season is a season where the caterpillar undergoes massive organ transformation. For instance, its guts get narrower and its tracheal tube gets bigger. The whole time it is transforming it needs this period of solitude to do so properly.

Then I thought about us as human beings. How that everybody is capable of transforming themselves no matter where they are in life. We have all heard of the stories about how the poor became rich. We have even heard stories about how an uncaring person became a caring person. Part of the Ebenezer Scrooge story was taken from real life events.

People can and do change.

However, there is a change that trumps all the other changes. A change that is so magnificent and so unique that it makes all the other changes pale in comparison.

Do you know what change I am talking about?

The change that a person makes when they begin a relationship with Jesus Christ!!!

They go from gutter to Glory!
They go from darkness to Light!
They go from ghetto to Greatness!
They go from fear to Faith!

And there is coming a day:

Where we will go from our earthly bodies (caterpillars) to our glorified bodies (butterflies).

And the best part about this transformation is that all a person has to do in order to affect this change in them is BELIEVE on Jesus Christ!!!

Some call it, “easy believism” God calls it the only way to ULTIMATE TRANSFORMATION!!!

We are recreated in the image of God after the inner man and are becoming more and more like Christ each and every day.

By faith in Christ!

In all actuality, this is what the life of a caterpillar is suppose to illustrate:

THE ULTIMATE TRANSFORMATION OF THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF GOD!!!

The things that are seen teach us about things that we can’t see. So let’s continue to be good stewards and enjoy the life God has given to you His child. And when this wonderful life is over we will enter into our inheritance that we obtained by faith while we were still “caterpillars” according to the flesh.

The Ultimate Goal

As we go through life accomplishing our daily tasks, sometimes we wonder if what we do really matters.

Sure it does.

However, we should not worry about if what we do matters. We should just enjoy the moment while we have it.

If we come across a good idea…share it.

If we have a kind word to say to someone…say it.

Whatever we do in life and where ever we are, don’t forget to do this one thing:

Human Being vs. Human Doing

There is so much emphasis today on, “making it happen.” Working hard is glorified while relaxing is being mistaken for laziness.

How sad.

Have you ever seen someone work so hard for so long only to find out that they couldn’t enjoy all the riches that they amassed?

I hope you never do. It is one of the saddest things you’ll ever see.

This is why Jesus said, “labor not for the meat that perisheth, but for that which endures unto everlasting life.” Which means don’t focus your life around doing. Focus your life around being.

There is a reason why magnets attract metal to themselves. Because the attracting energy is in the magnet.

There is a reason why all the planets revolve around the sun. While the sun just burns. That’s its job.

Child of God that is what you are. You are not meant to pull your hair out like the rest of the world does everyday.

You are meant to be. So just be.

Don’t worry about what tomorrow will bring. Because God is already there.

In that you can rest assure.

I’ll Love You…EVEN If!

I’ll love you…IF  you DO this for me.

The above statement is an example of what is called conditional love.

This is a statement that God would never say. God is Love and He cannot help but love you…

EVEN IF!

Many think that the goal of God is to get people to behave better. By coming to God you will then be a better BEHAVING person.

This was not God’s ULTIMATE goal.

His ultimate goal was for you to experience Him!

That’s it. That’s all.

You see it’s one thing for you to know that God loves you.

And it’s another thing to EXPERIENCE it!

So remember…God’s goal is for you to experience Him!

To EXPERIENCE His protection!

To EXPERIENCE His healing!

To EXPERIENCE His mercy!

To EXPERIENCE His grace!

To EXPERIENCE His peace!

To EXPERIENCE His love!

Because when you experience God. You experience all that He is!!!

You Are Worthy!!!

It seems as if we are always putting ourselves down. See if you have heard of these saying before:

I am ugly…

No one likes me…

I always screw things up…

I can’t win for losing…
And on and on.
These sayings are not only negative, they are also untrue.
You are made in the image of God and there is no way that these things can be true of a Child of God.
Just. Not. True.
What is true is that you are beautifully and wonderfully made by God Himself!
What is true is that you are a Child of the most powerful being in the Universe!
What is true is that you are loved beyond your comprehension!
YOU. ARE. WORTHY.
So worthy that God became flesh just so that He could bleed for you!
You’re worth can’t measured in dollars and cents.
It can only be measured: BY THE BLOOD OF GOD!
Please remember that.
Grace, mercy, peace, and prosperity be multiplied to you forever!

What Mephibosheth Teaches About the Grace of God

There was a lad by the name of Mephibosheth who was extended mercy by David…

Because of the relationship that David had with his father Jonathan.

Amid the family members of the house of Saul he was the one that was permitted to be protected from the wrath of his enemies the Gibeonites…

All because of the relationship that David had with his dad.

Mephibosheth had nothing to do with the goodness that he received at the hand of David. Meals, protection, and the good life were all afforded to Mephibosheth because this man was Jonathan’s son.

That’s it. There was no work that earned him a seat in the palace. As a matter of fact, this man was lame in his feet and was somewhat disabled. This man was extended an entrance into David’s life because his Dad was best friends with the king.

Much like us. We are not extended special privileges because of what we do, but because of whose we are. Jesus is ours and we are accepted because of HIM.

Not because of us.

We had no strength to deliver ourselves.

It’s a good thing we didn’t have to. All we did was accept the grace so freely given and we too can eat with the king.

Mephibosheth…

Not bad for a man whose name means “out of my mouth proceeds reproach.”

However, out of God’s hand He received mercy.

What a Friend we have in Jesus!
